The story of M&C, the large-format magazine of the Molteni Group, is a long one. It all began with Il Giornalone, a simple publication—just a few pages printed ahead of the Salone del Mobile to showcase new products debuting at the Milan Fair.

Featuring images, sketches, drawings, and stories, it was skillfully designed by Felix Humm, the graphic designer behind Molteni&C’s corporate image. Yet the true vision and creative direction came from Luca Meda, art director and the mastermind behind the logo and many of the brand’s products.

After those golden years and a few pauses, Il Giornalone was reborn in 2006 as M&C, Molteni&Company, under the editorial direction of Cristiana Colli, with a further revamp in 2017. What started as an in-house publication chronicling the company’s journey has since evolved into a fully realized magazine—curating, designing, and telling the story of the Molteni Group through both words and images.
