Milano is a small, lightweight but extremely rugged chair. Aldo Rossi used to say, “the sort of chair that comes to mind when people say chair”. It recalls a traditional type of chair in which seat and back are made up of parallel sticks, here wedged into sheaths in the fixed parts. It is designed and made to guarantee the sheaths elasticity and to eliminate any creaking.

The individual piece of furniture (unlike these, which are called modular or even other things) is an object that usually stays with us throughout our life and often links it to that of others.
